A quick clarification on Lori Gentile's "With Love" Paper Bag Album Class on Sat,. Sept. 11

The email newsletter that went out this past Monday stated that you had to chose between Boy or Girl albums upon signing up. This is incorrect. You get ALL the paper shown for both albums! You decide the day of class which color scheme to go with. You'll also receive stickers for both color schemes. If you'd like to make another album at home, you can. You'll just need to supply your own paper bags and some additional embellishments. What a deal!

Go to the pink bar to the left of this post and scroll down to her class. Click on the photo and more photos will pop up so you can see a few on the inside pages.

We'd like to apologize to Lori for the confusion! She's a wonderful teacher and you won't want to miss her class so call and sign up today!

It's advised that you bring larger items home though.

We have a lot of exciting events planned for Saturday. Our silent auction for all our store layouts and samples will be held Saturday only. If you've wanted to own a layout or project that's been displayed in the store over the past year, this is your chance! We'll have different layouts & projects displayed throughout the day Saturday with bid sheets so you can sign up to own one - or more - of your very own! All winning bids are tax deductible.

Laurie and her great staff! It was a group effort (sorry we don't have photos of everyone!). Again, a huge thanks to everyone who helped in this fun-filled flea market. Until next year...

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 14 - It's our Annual FLEA MARKET from 10am-4pm!

Get ready to shop and get some AWESOME deals at our flea market. We have 1000's (probably more!) items to sell! If you need paper, stamps, albums, tools, storage, rolling bags...just about anything scrapbooking or paper crafting related, you'll find it at the flea market - and for a great deal!

Our annual Island Flea Market is Saturday, Aug. 14th. Doors open at 10:00am and close at 4:00pm. Just an FYI, this is a VERY popular event and people start lining up early (behind the store down the breezeway at the door of the large crop room)! Please note that the sale is NOT in the store.

Just a few things regarding the Flea Market:

** Cash is preferred (and quickest!). Credit cards are okay on purchases OVER $50.00. Charges have to be run at the store, so it will take a bit longer. NO checks will be accepted on flea market purchases.

** If you have a reusable shopping bag, please bring it. Save a tree!

** All flea market purchases are final. No returns. Please be sure to check over your purchases before paying for them.

** To ensure that customers get a chance to look at ALL the amazing items that'll be for sale at the Flea Market, we ask that shoppers don't pull lots of items to decide whether they will purchase them later. This isn't fair for the other shoppers who may want those items or the seller who'd like to sell their items. Thanks for your understanding!

** The flea market is held in the large crop space behind the store (not in the store).

Be sure to stop by the store to see all the amazing new products that have been rolling in over the past weeks.

Tell your friends and we look forward to seeing you this Saturday!

Fri., Oct. 29, 6:30-9:30 pm: "Autographs Photo Display Stand": $58

Roses are red, violets are blue...Did you ever have an autograph album? It was fun to have your friends sign their name and write a silly little poem! This isn't actually an autograph album (unless you want it to be) but a lovely display with two albums to show off your favorite photos of the people, places and even things that have made an imprint, "an autograph," on your life. The albums can be displayed on the stand for a while and then replaced with new pictures so that you can rotate the albums with the seasons or new themes. The Photo Stand is not included in the class. You can order one for $12.00 when calling to sign up just mention you want to also order the stand and the girls will charge you and sign you up for one.You could make an album about the people of your life and another about the places of your life. You could also make a beautiful display with the pictures of gardens and scenery taken through the years. Using some of my favorite products from 7Gypsies, Jenni Bowlin, Tim Holtz Ideology and more, we'll make one album full of techniques making page layouts and pockets and another small album with little pockets and pages to tuck your photos and treasures into.

This project can be made without the stand, if desired. If you do not purchase the stand, you will need to purchase a refill pack of the photo stand vertical page protectors by 7Gypsies and two binding rings. The refill pack #10082 contains 10 page protectors. The photo stand comes with 15 page protectors and the binding rings.

Student Supply List: 12" paper trimmer, scissors, pencil, tape runner adhesive, 7Gyspies Binderie, Crop A Dile, Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Ink Blending Tool, Non-Stick Craft Mat, sanding block, paper edge distresser, stapler (Tiny Attacher), glue dots, foam squares, scallop edge scissors and a decorative border punch (I used a lacy Martha Stewart punch). **Bonus** As a special treat you can stay after the Friday night class and enjoy cropping until Midnight at no extra charge!

Sat., Oct. 30, 10:30am-1pm: "Tiny Tales" Album; $58

DebbySTiny1   DebbySTiny2 day you're cleaning out the attic and discover a dusty box of long forgotten treasures. Inside you find a sweet, small book full of stories and pictures of a girl with simple dreams and delightful tales. It's a little tattered and looks well-loved. Wouldn't that be an amazing find? Let's make that book together and fill it with YOUR stories and pictures. Who is that girl? Who has she become? Who does she hope to be? Of course, there are so many other things you can use this darling album for too!

We'll take a canvas album from Pink Paislee and fill it with papers and embellishments from the October Afternoon Thrift Shop collection, American Crafts Dear Lizzy, Jenni Bowlin, 7Gypsies, Tim Holtz Ideology, May Arts and more. There will be lots of product for you to use your creativity to truly make this album your own. You'll leave class with a finished book ready for you to fill with your own treasures. (It would also make a perfect gift for a special girl to fill with her dreams and stories as she grows up.)

The holidays whirl by in a bllnk of an eye, but you'll be able to savor every magical moment and the meaning of Christmas in the beautiful album we'll create together in our annual Christmas album class.
