Okay...you've all been (fairly) patient! We love all your enthusiasm and excitement about our upcoming event...well...here it is! (First a big scream...)

This Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10am-6pm we will be having a STOREWIDE 20% off (almost*) Everything Sale! We are filled to the rafters with loads of awesome products and new stuff keeps coming in, so it's time to clean house! This is good news for you! Plus, Laurie doesn't want to pay the taxman again this year, so that's another reason for this unbelievable sale!

So here are the details:
1) Everything is on sale *EXCEPT* Cardstock, adhesive and open stock charms.
2) Only items that are on the sales floor will be on sale.
3) No other discounts will be applied (example: 15% off coupons, etc).
4) No special orders.
5) No items can be put on hold during the sale.
6) No additional punches will be given during the sale.

Now, for all you worriers out there...NO - WE ARE NOT CLOSING OUR DOORS!!! So take a deep breath, call all your scrapbooking and papercrafting friends and come on by Saturday to take advantage of this AWESOME SALE!!

It's Here..."SCRAP PINK Crop for the Cure" All Day Saturday, October 18!

Today is the day...our big, huge, fun-filled, exciting "Scrap Pink" Breast Cancer Crop! Be sure to wear pink when you come crop - or even if you're stopping by to shop or bid on one of our silent auctions.

Speaking of Silent Auctions...be sure to check out all our layouts and mini books that are going to be auctioned off all day.  They will be displayed at the back tables in our store with bidding sheets attached. You don't have to be signed up with our crop to win one of these awesome layouts or mini books. Anyone can win!

We're also having our Layout Contest pages up for Silent Auction also. The layout that receives the highest bid will win the HUGE purple basket near the front counter overflowing with great products and surprises!

100% of the proceeds from the Silent Auction and the Raffle Tickets (only $1 to win either the "pink" or "blue" basket that have been displayed at the front counter - you don't need to be present to win) will be donated to the Susan G. Koman for the Cure Foundation. Also, a portion of the crop fee will be donated. Come support this very important cause - and have fun at the same time!

Something Exciting is Brewing at The Island....

"What is it" you ask? Well, you'll just have to check back here and see...often! We are all SO excited to share this exciting event with you all...but not just yet. Are you curious...intrigued...we hope so! Keep you eyes and ears open and more info will follow...soon!

THREE More Days to Enter - Layout Competition Deadline EXTENDED!

Have you entered your layout in the Breast Cancer Layout Competition yet? Have you been in and seen the HUGE basket of goodies marked "Layout Competition" and wondered "how can I win that"? If not, don't worry...we've extended the deadline until this Thursday, Oct. 16th. We've had such a great response that we've decided to leave the competition open a few more days.

Or maybe your wondering what we're talking about! It's not too late! Check out the pink bar on the left for more details. Basically all you need to do is make a single page 12x12 layout of ANY THEME using current store product. We ask that you use current product so that the winner of your layout in the silent auction can easily make a coordinating 2nd page is they want.

All the layouts will go in a special Silent Auction on Saturday, Oct. 18 during our Scrap Pink Breast Cancer All Day Crop. The layout that received the highest bid (sorry, but you can't bid on your own layout!) will win the HUGE basket displayed in the store. You do not need to be signed up for the crop to enter the layout competition.

Call to sign up for MAYA ROAD'S "Wings" Mini Album on Tues., Oct. 21!

Caroline Lau from Maya Road will be here on Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 6-9pm to teach an awesome mini book class titled "Wings". Check out the pink bar on the left for a closer look and more details.

We know how much you all LOVE the great chipboard mini books by Maya Road and here's your chance to make one with the a head designer from Maya Road. In this class you'll embellish this "Wings" album with lots of great techniques including inking, sanding and you'll even use a needle & thread! We'll let you know what to bring when you call and sign up.

All you  need to do to have a chance to win this AWESOME basket (which will also include a store gift card!) is design a single page, 12x12 layout in ANY THEME using current store product. Come in with your layout by Monday., Oct. 13 to be eligible to win. We'll be having our Silent Auction during our Breast Cancer Crop Weekend (Oct. 18-19) and the layout with the highest bid will win this basket! You may enter as many layouts as you like. That's right! You can win everything in one of the two baskets shown for only $1.00! How, you might ask? Well, stop by The Island and buy a raffle ticket for only $1 to be put in the bucket of choice (either Pink or Blue). 100% of the proceeds for the raffle will go to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Fund. There's no limit to how many tickets you can buy - the more you enter, the better your chances!
